I shared the recipe of Momos in the morning today and mentioned that the Chutney is the real enhancer of the taste of Momos.
Chutney deserves a dedicated post for the process as you can prepare and keep if for a few days and use it for other snacks like Chana Daal Pakora, Aloo Vada, Bread Pakora, you get the idea.
So, without any delay, below is the recipe you can follow to prepare this spicy Chutney. Enjoy.
Preparation Time: 2 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Ingredients | Quantity |
Tomato | 2 |
Whole Dry red chilly | 4-5 |
Sugar | 1 teaspoon |
Salt | 1/2 teaspoon |
Water | 1/2 cup |
Method:
1. Cut the tomatoes into 4 pieces. Take the tomatoes, dry red chilly and 1/2 cup water into a microwave safe bowl. Cook cover for 10 minutes. You can cook on Stove too. Let it cool at room temperature. Peel off the skin of tomatoes.
2. Take the tomato-chilly mixture along with the left over water in a grinder and add sugar and salt. grind it to make a fine paste. You can adjust water as per your choice whether you want thick or thin consistency of the chutney. Spicy hot chutney is ready to serve.
