Chocolate Muffins Recipe

Chocolate Muffins are one of my favourites. Regular readers will know why, and now the new readers, I love it because it has chocolate in it. :-).

If you are someone like me who keeps getting these cravings to have something chocolaty every now and then, this is the recipe for you. Prepare it and keep it in the fridge, and when you feel the crave to have it, take it out, heat it and have it.

Preparation Time: 5 Minutes

Cooking Time: 25-30 Minutes

Ingredients Quantity
All purpose flour 1 cup
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Salt small pinch
Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Milk 1 cup
Egg 1
Sugar 1 cup
Butter 1/2 cup

Method:

1. Sieve flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder in a medium bowl as shown in the image below. Take milk, vanilla essence and egg in another bowl and beat the egg well. Now add sugar and mix it until dissolved  completely.

2. Add liquid egg mixture and melted butter in a flour bowl and mix it well. ( Don’t add hot melted butter ) When you add egg liquid mixture to dry mixture, don’t over mix.

3. Pre-heat the oven at 180 C . Grease and flour the muffin tray and pour the mixture in muffin tray and bake it for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
