Eggless Bread Pudding Recipe

I was browsing on the internet and stumbled on this pudding recipe, in a Chocolate lover myself, I gave it a try in my kitchen, it turned out Awesome. Believe me friends It is delicious and yummy. You can also make pudding easily at home. Ingredients are very common and you can get it at home. So What do you think? Follow my easy recipe with step by step pictures.

Preparation Time: 5  Minutes

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients Quantity
Bread 7 slices
Milk 2 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Water 3 teaspoon
Sugar for caramel 3 teaspoon
Chocolate (optional) for topping

Method:

1. Take the bread slices and tear the bread into small pieces as shown in the image below.

2. Take a bowl and add bread pieces and milk to it, keep it aside for 10-12 minutes or till the bread absorbs the milk. Take the grinder and add soaked bread pieces and sugar. Grind it coarsely to make the paste. Take the ground bread mixture in the bowl.

3. Now add vanilla essence and mix it well. Then heat the pan with 3 tbsp sugar and 3 tbsp water.

4. Keep turning pan not to burn sugar. When sugar starts turning the golden brown or caramalize switch off the flame. Pour the caramel in the vessel/ pan/pot/wok and tilt it to coat the bottom.

5. Now pour the bread mixture over caramel.

6. Now steam cook the pudding for about 20 minutes. I didn’t get the steam cooker in my kitchen. I took water in wok/kadhai, fill the half wok with water then keep the Pudding vessel and cover with muslin clothes then cover it with anything so that steam cann’t pass or you can cover it with aluminium foil too. When pudding is ready keep it in the fridge for at least 4 hours and then invert in the plate.

7. Cut the pudding in a square shape and top with chocolate.

8. Enjoy!!
