This is a spicy deep fried potato chaat and garnished with chatpati bhujiya. I tried it for the first time and it turned out awesome. Chaat has always been my favorite fast food. |Potato (peeled)||3 medium size|
|All purpose flour||5 teaspoon|
|Green Chutney||3 teaspoon|
|Tamarind Chutney||2 teaspoon|
|Red chili powder||1/4 teaspoon|
|Chaat Powder/masala||1/2 teaspoon|
|Lemon Juice||2 teaspoon|
1. Cut the potato into cubes as shown below in picture. Then dissolve all purpose flour in 1/2 cup of water and add 1/4 teaspoon salt. Now coat the potato cubes in all purpose flour paste.
2. Heat the oil in pan and deep fry coated potato on medium heat till golden brown as shown below.
3. Now take deep fried potato in a bowl, add red chili powder, chaat powder, salt, green chutney, tamarind chutney, lemon juice, chopped tomato and onion. Mix well and garnish with bhujiya or sev.
Note: If you don’t know how to make green chutney, don’t worry I am giving you an idea to make green chutney.
Take 4 green chilies, 1/2 bunch coriander leaves and 5 cloves garlic. Grind it to make smooth paste . chutney is ready and you can use it in chaat .
