Sooji Halwa is a very sweet and popular dish from all over India. It is delicious and sweet dessert made from semolina called Sooji halwa. Learn how to make sooji halva at home.

Ingredients | Quantity |
Soozi / Semolina | 1/2 kg |
Sugar | 1/2 kg |
Milk | 1 litre |
Cashew nuts | 100 gram |
Almonds | 100 gram |
Talmakhana | 50 gram |
Coconut | 1 whole grated |
Green cardamom | 2 |
Cloves | 2 |
Puree Ghee | 1 cup |
Method:
1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai and saute with cardamom green and cloves. Add semolina and roast it till light golden brown. Stirring constantly while roasting otherwise it will burn. Don’t forget to keep the flame low. Grind all dry fruits and mix it with semolina.
2. Take another kadhai/pan and boil 1 litre milk then add sugar and cloves. Prepare 2 string sugar syrup as shown below in picture.
3. Now add roasted semolina in 2 string sugar syrup and cook on medium heat till it becomes thick as shown below in picture.
4. Take thali and Spread ghee. Now put sooji halwa in thali and set it with any flat Pot.
5. Now with the help of knife cut into small diagonal pieces. Sooji halva is ready to serve and you can store this halva for several weeks.
