Karela (Bitter Melon) is a healthy vegetable and can be prepared with few ingredients just in few minutes. I prepared bharwan karela earlier but this one is completely different in flavour and taste. This one is crispy and prepared with just 3 ingredients. It is one of the best healthy food that you can take with your meal. follow my easy recipe with step by step tutorials.

Ingredients | Quantity |
Karela ( Bitter Melon) | 250 gram |
Cumin seeds | 1/2 teaspoon |
Green chilli | 1 |
Salt | to taste |
Oil | 5 teaspoon |
Method:
1. Slit the karela vertically and remove the seeds as shown below in the image.
2. Chop it horizontally into a thin strips. Soak it in a water along with a teaspoon salt for half an hour. Then drain the water and wash it in a running water.
3. Heat the pan with oil and sauté with cumin seeds, when it crackles add karela, green chilli and salt. Cook covered on slow heat for 8-10 minutes.
4. Cook it until crisp and properly cooked. Karela bhurji is ready, serve hot with chapatti and daal .
