Jackfruit Curry | Jackfruit Sabzi | Kathal Sabzi

Ingredients Quantity
Jackfruit/ Kathal 1/2 kg
Ginger 1/2 inch piece
Garlic 8 cloves
Onion 1
Cardamom brown 1
Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
Salt as needed

Method:

1. Cut jackfruit into bite size pieces. Heat the oil in pan and fry the jackfruit till light golden brown in color as shown below in picture.

2. Now grind ginger, garlic, onion, cumin seeds, cardamom brown and black pepper together ta make fine paste. add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and coriander powder.

3. Heat the oil in pressure cooker add all the spices and little water. Cook on medium heat till oil shows separately.

4. Then add fried jackfruit into pressure cooker and 1 cup water. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.

5. jackfruit curry is ready and serve hot with chapatti.
