Punjabi Aloo Tikki

Aloo Tikki has always been one of my favourites because it takes only few minutes to get it ready. Super convenient when you do not have the time or energy to cook those delicious meals but still want to have something tasty.

This spicy Punjabi Aloo Tikki can be enjoyed with chapati to give as a breakfast or can be had as a snack, either way, it’s something worth trying.

Ingredients Quantity
Potatoes ( Boiled, peeled, mashed) 2 cup
Frozen peas (boiled) 1/2 cup
Roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon
Chopped ginger 1/4 teaspoon
Green chilly (finely chopped) 1
Red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon
Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander leaves 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tablespoon

Method:

1. Combine all the ingredients except oil into a bowl and make tikkis of 3” diameter.

2. Heat the non stick pan with oil and put the tikkis on pan. Fry it on medium heat for 3 minutes, then turn the tikkis and fry for another 3 minutes or till light golden spots appear on the both sides of the tikkis. Garnish with coriander leaves, serve hot with green chutney or your favorite  sauce.

3. Enjoy!!
