There are few things that go into the microwave oven as an experiment, and come out as a masterpiece. This garlic bread is one of them. I did not know it will turn out to be this amazing until my guests were able to guess, that I’ve baked Garlic Bread, only from the smell of it.
So, I am sharing my experiment with you. I am sure you are going to love it. Below is the recipe of Garlic Break with step by step pictures.
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 14 Minutes
Ingredients | Quantity |
All purpose flour/ Maida | 2 cup |
Butter | 1/4 cup |
Vegetable oil | 1/4 cup |
Oregano herbs | 1/2 teaspoon |
All purpose seasoning | 1/2 teaspoon |
Salt | 1/4 teaspoon |
Garlic | 2 teaspoon |
Sugar | 1 teaspoon |
Active dry yeast | 1 teaspoon |
Luke-warm water | 1/2 cup |
Method:
1. Take Luke-warm water in a bowl and add sugar and yeast. Let it rest for 15 minutes to appear foam on the top of it. In a broad bowl add sugar-yeast mixture, butter, crushed garlic, vegetable oil, oregano herbs, all purpose seasoning, salt and mix it well.
2. Add 1 cup of the flour and mix it . Don’t mix all the flour at a time.
3. Add 1 more cup of the flour and knead it with your hand to make soft and smooth dough. Knead it at least for 10-12 minutes to activate the gluten. Add litter water if desire while kneading the dough.
4. Take the dough into a bowl and cover it plastic wrap and leave it for 3 hours to get the dough double in size as you can see the image below.
5. Divide the dough into a 2 equal portions. Take one portion of the dough and roll it over into a thick circular shape.
6. Fold it into half, and sprinkle the oregano herbs and all purpose seasoning herbs.
7. Brush it up with some butter and cut it into equal part using a knife. Bake it for 9 minutes in an 180-degree celsius preheated oven. Now bake it for another 5 minutes at 200-degree delicious to get the golden texture.
(At this point, if you think the bread is still not cooked at the based, turn it over and bake it for another 5 minutes at 200-degree celsius)
