Sometimes it is really hard to think of ideas about making good use of the leftovers in your kitchen. The same thing happened to me yesterday as I had few pieces of chicken left and no much to make a full meal for dinner or lunch.
So, what I did was try my own version of Chicken popcorn and deep fry these small pieces of chicken to prepare something for an evening snack.
Below is the recipe and you can try it on your own by following the simple and easy step by step process with pictures.
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Ingredients | Quantity |
Boneless Chicken | 1 cup |
Yogurt | 1/4 cup |
Corn flour | 1/2 cup |
Pepper Powder | 1/4 teaspoon |
Red chilli Powder | 1/4 teaspoon |
Salt | as needed |
Oregano herbs | 1/2 teaspoon |
Bread crumbs | 1 cup |
Oil | for deep frying |
Ginger-garlic paste | 1 teaspoon |
Method:
1. Take boneless chicken and cut it into small chunks. Add yogurt, red chilli powder, pepper powder, oregano herbs, salt, ginger-garlic paste and corn flour. Mix it well and keep it for marinating for about 4 hours.
2. Take bread crumbs mixture in a bowl or plate and add 1/4 teaspoon oregano herbs and mix it well.
3. Take chicken chunks and dip it in a breadcrumbs mixture to coat the mixture from all the sides. Heat the oil in a wok and deep fry the chunks on a slow flame until golden brown in the color.
4. Drain it on a tissue paper to absorbs extra oil. Crunchy chicken chunks are ready, serve hot.
5. Enjoy!!
