Dry Fruits Shake Recipe|Ramadan Drink Recipe

Dry Fruits are rich source of energy and it is very common to have them during Ramadan as Sehri during Ramadan as it provides enough energy for the entire day and keeps the thirst in control.

It is one of my routine meal that I have in Sehri, I usually keep it prepared in the night so that it becomes easy for me to have it in the morning as there is very less time at hand.

The other benefit my grandmother told me about Dry fruit is it improved memory power which makes it suitable for students of all age.

I am presenting this recipe in a different form so that children can have it easily. You will find the step by step method

Ingredients Quantity
Almond 10
Cashew nuts 10
Coconut grated 1/4 cup
Pistachio 2 tablespoon
Dates 6
Khus-Khus 2 teaspoon
Talmakhana 1/2 cup
Cardamom green 2
Cloves 3
Sugar 3 tablespoon
Milk 2 glass
Pure ghee / Clarified butter 2 tablespoon

Method:

1. Soak almond, cashew nuts, khus-khus, coconut grated, dates, pistachio, talmakhana in 1 glass of water for half an hour. Strain it using a strainer. Drain the water. Add soaked dry fruits in a grinder. (I didn’t add dates because I couldn’t get it in my kitchen when I was preparing this shake)

2. Add 1 glass of milk in a grinder and grind it to make a fine paste.

3. Heat the wok with clarified butter / pure ghee and temper with cardamom green and cloves.

4. Add ground paste into wok and mix it well with butter. Add remaining 1 glass of milk into wok and add sugar.

5.  Cook it on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Switch off the flame and delicious dry fruit shake is ready. You can serve this shake hot or chilled.
