Spicy Bread Recipe

Let’s break an old myth today that things that take less time to prepare, do not taste good. This spicy bread recipe is something you can have in just 10 minutes if you have all the things ready in your kitchen. It makes a great evening snack or can also be had as a breakfast if you have got a thing for spicy food.

Ingredients Quantity
Chickpea flour/ Besan 2 cup
Bread 8 slice
Tomato 1
Onion 1
Green chilly 1
Coriander leaves 2 tablespoon
Red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tablespoon

Method:

1. Chop onion, tomato, green chilly and coriander leaves finely. Take sieved flour into bowl.

2. Add 3/4 cup of water into a flour bowl to make the batter. Batter consistency should be like dosa or cake consistency. Batter should not be thick nor thin. Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt, chopped onion, green chilly, coriander leaves and tomato. Mix it well.

3. Take sandwich bread and cut it diagonally as shown below in the image. Take one piece of bread and dip in flour mixture for coating the bread from both the sides. Don’t dip in flour mixture for too long as the bread will get broken.

4. Heat the non stick pan with oil and put coated bread on it. Cook it on low flame for 3-4 minutes, then turn with the help of flat spatula and cook for 3-4 minutes from the other sides till light golden spots appear on both sides of bread.  Take out the bread from the pan and serve hot with your favorite sauce.
