Today I tried a local recipe from my village, called Thokwa but lets call it deep fried sweet naan. People prepare it on some occasions or when they have to travel as it is easy to carry. It is prepared with all purpose flour (Maida) with a combination of Dry Fruits . You can have it as a Snack or Breakfast.

Ingredients | Quantity |
All Purpose Flour ( Maida) | 4 Cup |
Coconut | 100 gram |
Cashew Nuts | 100 gram |
Almonds | 100 gram |
Saffron | a large pinch |
Milk | 2 cup |
White Till | 10 gram for tempering |
Sugar | 2 cup |
Salt | 1/2 teaspoon |
Baking Soda | 1/2 teaspoon |
Cardamom green | 5 |
Method:
1. Take a Bowl , add flour , saffron, salt , Grind cashew nuts , almonds , cardamom green , sugar and coconuts. Add this Grind Mixture into bowl .
2. Add Milk ,Baking Soda into bowl and make a soft and smooth Dough. Leave it dough for 12 hours to fermentation.
3. Then take a Big ball (Like Balls) from dough and keep flattening with the help of your palms until it looks like Naan (Thick Chapattis) and stick white till on it .
4. Heat Refined oil in a pan and deep fry these Chapattis on slow heat until golden brown as shown below.
