Chola Bhatura is a recipe that is being loved by every Indian. Doesn’t matter whether you are a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian, you will love it.
Bhatura is quite heavy as it is deep fried in oil, but if you use Canola Oil it makes a huge difference to it. You will feel light even after having 2 or 3 bhatura. I have been using Canola oil from past one year since my doctor suggested me when I was pregnant.

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients | Quantity |
All purpose flour / Maida | 250 gram |
Yoghurt | 1 cup |
Baking Powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
Oil | for deep frying |
Method:
1. Sieve the flour in a broad bowl and add yoghurt and baking powder, mix it well. Knead into a firm dough by using small amount of water. The dough should not be too hard nor too soft. Cover it with a muslin cloth and rest the dough for 1-2 hours.
2. Divide the dough into 10 equal portions and roll out the one portions of dough into a circles of 125mm (5”) diameter.
3. Deep fry in a hot oil until the bhatura puff up and both the sides are light golden brown in color. Drain it on tissue paper to absorbs extra oil. Bhatura is ready, serve hot with Chola, curd and salad.
