Potato(boiled, peeled and mashed) | 2 cup |
Mustard oil | 2 tablespoon |
Mustard seeds | 1/2 teaspoon |
Onion | 1 |
Green chilly | 2 |
Coriander powder | 1 teaspoon |
Cumin powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
salt | to taste |
Coriander leaves | 2 tablespoon |
Lemon juice | 2 teaspoon |
Red chilly flakes | 1/4 teaspoon |
Coriander seeds(crushed) | 1/2 teaspoon |
Method:
1. Heat the pan/ wok with oil and temper with mustard seeds, cover it immediately so that it does not pop out on your face.
2. Add chopped onion and green chilly in the pan, fry it till onions are translucent in the color.
3. Add red chilly flakes, coriander seeds, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt in the pan. Cook the spices on low flame for 30 seconds.
4. Add mashed potato and lime juice in the pan, mix it well and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Delicious Aloo Chokha is ready to serve, Serve hot with Bati or chapatti.
