The Easiest Veg Pulav Recipe of All Time

I have to admit that cooking great food requires a great amount of energy, and patience, and skills and what not. Even I am not filled up with all the positive energy all the time.

On such days, I try to make the simplest version of anything that I feel like having. Ready to Cook Mixes available in the market help me a lot. Like the Mother’s Recipe instant mix of Vegetable Biryani helped me cook this Veg Pulao the easiest way possible.

 

If you are feeling hungry, go to your kitchen and start cooking. Below is the step by step recipe of Veg Pulao with pictures.

 

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients Quantity
Basmati Rice 2 Cup
Cabbage 1/2 cup
Capsicum 1/2 cup
French beans 1/2 cup
Green peas 1/4 cup
Chickpeas 1/4 cup
Curd 1/2cup
Mother’s Recipe (Veg biryani Mix) 1 pack
Red color a small pinch
Fried Cashew nuts 10-12 no’s
Kevra 1/8 cup
Green chilli 4

Method:

1. Wash & soak basmati rice for half an hour. Cook the rice along with a teaspoon salt, oil and some lemon juice. Strain the cooked rice using strainer to drain excess water. Chop the vegetables as shown below in the image.

2. Take Mother’s recipe mix .

3. In a broad wok , add all the chopped veggies, chickpeas, curd , mother’s recipe mix paste along with a cup of water. Mix it well and cook covered on medium heat for 7-8 minutes.

4. Now open the lid and layer with cooked rice. Dissolve red color in kevra and sprinkle on layered rice as shown below in the image. Put some green chilli and cook covered on slow heat for 5-6 minutes. Veg Pulav is ready to serve, garnish with fried cashew nuts and enjoy this yummy pulav with your favourite pickle or raitaSmile.
